Our Vision2020-03-27T06:50:56+00:00

Jesus spoke of God’s Kingdom in his teaching ministry, revealed the Kingdom in his healing ministry and embodied the Kingdom throughout his earthly ministry, death and resurrection. In essence, we see evidence of God’s Kingdom when we see his rule and reign established in the lives of his followers.

God’s Kingdom is something which Jesus taught starts small…

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, “

but ends big…

yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” Matthew 13: 31-32

God’s Kingdom is something which Jesus encouraged us to pray for the coming of…

“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6: 9-10

And God’s Kingdom is something which we should make our number 1 priority…

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6: 31-34

So, in seeking to Grow God’s Kingdom Together we are being faithful to the teaching, life and example of Jesus, who one day will establish His Kingdom fully when he comes again in all His glory. But, until that time, as a church we are called to do all that we can to establish His Kingdom here on earth. That is our mission.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

Youth Work

We have a passion for the moral and spiritual development of young people, whether attached to the Cathedral or not and have a range of events during each week for young people. We have a dedicated Sunday School during our morning family service and a thriving Girls Brigade.

Pastoral Care

The ministry team at Dromore Cathedral are on hand to meet with, pray and support people who are facing difficult times – through illness, bereavement, stress, financial burdens – or anything other concern. If you know of anyone who needs supports please get in touch.

Community

We believe Jesus wants us to replicate his example of taking God’s compassion, care and Good News to everyone in the community. We strive to be a welcoming group and want to do all we can to extend that welcome to everybody in Dromore.
