Nine Lessons and Carols by Candlelight

The service of Nine Lessons and Carols will take place on Sunday 21st December at 6:00pm in the Cathedral. Music will be led by The Cathedral Choir and the Organist will be Rev David McCarthy.

Nativity

The children from Kingdom Kids will present the Nativity on Sunday 21st December at 10:45am. Everyone is welcome to join us. The service will be privately live-streamed, to obtain the link please see any Kingdom Kids leader or member of the AV team.

Community Carol Service

We will be holding a Community Carol Service in the Cathedral on Sunday 14th December at 6:00pm. The service will feature a combined choir from Dromore Central PS, St Colman’s PS and Dromore High School, as well as Soma Singers. All proceeds will go towards Evora Hospice.

Annual Sit-Out

Our annual sit-out in aid of Evora Hospice (formerly Southern Area Hospice Services) takes place on Friday 12th December between 7:00am and 7:00pm in SuperValu and outside Taste Café in Market Square.

Christmas Fayre

Join us for our Christmas Fayre which takes place on Thursday 27th November from 6:30pm in the Cathedral Hall. All proceeds will go towards the rewiring of the Cathedral.

Could YOU sing with the Cathedral Choir this Christmas?

We are on the lookout for a few additional singers to join the ranks of the choir for our Christmas Carol Service this year. You do not need to have any previous experience, just a willingness to join in and add your voice. If you are interested, please speak to any choir member – they would be delighted to hear from you.

New Pastoral Assistant

Congratulations to Carolyn Jackson on her appointment as Lay Pastoral Assistant in DC. Carolyn is married to Jonny, they have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren and have been a part of DC for around 6-7 years. Carolyn has been a senior leader with Freedom In Christ ministries for around 10 years and more recently has trained to become an accredited spiritual director. Carolyn will work alongside Geoff in delivering pastoral care, but will also help in developing a team of lay visitors to support the staff team in what they do. Carolyn will also have a responsibility for spiritual formation of adults of all ages. Please do welcome Carolyn into your homes and pray for this new ministry. Carolyn began her work today, Monday 1st September.
