Important Notice about Sunday Worship

We are pleased to confirm that the start date for the rewiring of the Cathedral commenced on Monday 19th January. This essential work will take around 12 weeks during which time all acts of worship on Sundays will be located in the Cathedral Hall. Sunday mornings will be very different for all of us while this work is ongoing, so I would ask for everyone to exercise patience and understanding. There will only be one act of worship at 10:45am with the pattern following that which we have observed in the Cathedral for the past couple of years on the 4th Sunday of each month and other special occasions. I would encourage all of us to make a special effort to attend our church service during this period especially, rather than “giving up on the habit of meeting together” (Hebrews 10: 25 paraphrase), as can so easily happen in circumstances such as this. Each service will be followed by refreshments, which will present a great opportunity for us to get to know one another that little bit better and enjoy some fellowship together. Geoff

Ready, Steady Cook!

Following the success of this event in 2024, we have been requested to repeat it again on Saturday 24th January at 7.30pm. This time our married victims (sorry contestants) will be Geoff and Naomi Wilson competing against our former Curate Geoff (Titch) and Jill Hamilton. We are very fortunate to have a special host for the evening, Mr Gavin Beck, who assures us that the night will be filled with fun and laughter. Tickets on sale from the Church Office or members of the Select Vestry from start of January priced at £10.

Real Change

Some exciting news! In the first part of 2026, on Sunday evenings (4, 18, 25 Jan & 8, 15, 22 Feb), we are planning on going through Real Change, a six-session course that helps churches and Christian groups pursue biblical, gospel-centred, heart focused change. Based on CCEF’s (Christian Counselling and Educational Foundation) Dynamics of Biblical Change, Real Change is ideal for anyone who wants to grow to be more like Jesus. It is a course for anyone who wants to find out how the gospel changes us from the inside out – for anyone who wants to take a look at what is going on in their heart and grow with God’s help to see real change. Each evening will commence at 7pm in the Clayton Hall with a cup of tea/coffee. Everyone is really welcome to come along.

Recorded Sunday Services – CD Ministry

Our weekly worship at 11:30am (or 10:45am when it is a combined service) is recorded for our CD ministry to those who are unable to come along to church. If you know of someone who would benefit from this ministry, please let Jill in the office know by phoning 9269 3968 or email dromorecathedral@outlook.com
