Very sincere congratulations to the Rev Elaine Pentland, and the Rev Andrew Orr on the occasion of their ordination to the order of deacon on Sunday 22nd August in our Cathedral. Elaine will serve as a deacon in Willowfield Parish and Andrew will serve his year as deacon in St John’s Parish, Orangefield.
The last service of ordination in our Cathedral was that of Rev Gary McMurray back in 2008, so it was wonderful to be able to host this very special service once more, at the request of our Bishop, the Rt Rev David McClay. We look forward to our Cathedral be asked to host similar significant Diocesan services in the years to come.
